The importance of a thorough investigation cannot be underestimated, particularly if it is likely the employee’s actions could warrant summary dismissal for gross misconduct.

Whilst each case would be handled to match the exact needs of the particular situation you are facing, we see the process working as follows:

 

  1. Stonebridge Retail Loss Prevention will take the lead with your corporate/commercial investigations including the interview stage, we will make use of all intelligence available for example witness statements and any available media such as CCTV or paper trail 

  2. Once this is fully concluded, we would ensure Holgate HR are supplied with copies of all relevant written information (eg witness statements, policies and procedures) so they are fully prepared

  3. Where necessary, Holgate HR would conduct further enquiries based upon the evidence which has been gathered

  4. You will receive a final report in line with the organisation’s requirements and presented in your preferred style, outlining our findings

  5. Throughout we would ensure regular and timely updates are provided, including dialogue relating to the time frame for completion

  6. The Directors of Holgate HR have over 50 years extensive HR experience between them, and are well versed in handling complicated disciplinary investigations

Caroline Dixon BA (Grad), M.C.I.P.D.

Caroline is a CIPD qualified HR consultant with over 25 years' experience in HR and OD. Having been established as an independent HR consultant for several years now, and as one of the Directors of Holgate HR, she provides all clients and contacts with high-quality HR support and advice.  She has a thorough working knowledge of current employment legislation and has extensive experience of key HR processes and handling employee relations case work, such as disciplinary, grievance, performance management, attendance management, redundancy and contractual changes.   She also designs and delivers OD solutions and coaching services for line managers and business owners.

Andy Holgate Chartered F.C.I.P.D.​

Andy has over 30 years’ experience in HR & Organisational Design/Development. In addition to his consultancy experience and qualifications, he has led large HR functions within both FTSE 250 businesses and the not for profit sector. He has extensive experience of people management in a retail setting having worked for large retail chains for almost 20 years.

As a registered Practitioner for Investors in People he is well versed at incorporating the latest thinking around ‘High-Performance Working’, and the metrics of ‘Valuing Your Talent’ into the solutions he develops. He has worked internationally, and has assessed for the C.I.P.D.’s Experience Assessment Programme, and is a registered Mentor with them. In addition, he fulfils a voluntary advisory role on the Strategic Oversight Committee for the YMCA.
