Potentially the final stage in any internal investigation is for the employer to consider if the situation warrants a disciplinary investigation.

The importance of a thorough investigation cannot be underestimated, particularly if it is likely the employee’s actions could warrant summary dismissal for gross misconduct.

Stonebridge Retail Loss Prevention have carefully selected to work in partnership with a leading HR consultancy, Holgate HR, to offer our clients the very best support for internal investigations.  Our solution to you is based on our joint experiences of handling hundreds of investigations and will provide you with a thorough, independent and confidential end-to-end service.

Whilst each case would be handled to match the exact needs of the particular situation you are facing, we see the process working as follows:

  1. Stonebridge Retail Loss Prevention will take the lead with your corporate/commercial investigations including the interview stage, we will make use of all intelligence available for example witness statements and any available media such as CCTV or paper trail

  2. Once this is fully concluded, we would ensure Holgate HR are supplied with copies of all relevant written information (eg witness statements, policies and procedures) so they are fully prepared

  3. Where necessary, Holgate HR would conduct further enquiries based upon the evidence which has been gathered

  4. You will receive a final report in line with the organisation’s requirements and presented in your preferred style, outlining our findings

  5. Throughout we would ensure regular and timely updates are provided, including dialogue relating to the time frame for completion
